Job Overview
As a Principal UX / Product Design, you take full ownership of UX and UI across our digital products,
including web and app experiences. This role goes beyond a traditional Senior position and requires a high level of independence,
strong decision-making, and end-to-end responsibility from strategy to execution.
As part of our platform team, you work hands-on with complex design problems while collaborating closely with Engineering, Business Stakeholders
and Designers to deliver consistent, scalable, and high-quality user experiences across platforms.
Aufgaben
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Responsibility & Decision Making
- Own UX, UI, and overall experience quality across core products (app, internal tools and web)
- Independently define design direction and make UX and product decisions
- Balance business goals, user needs and technical constraints
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide mentoring and design guidance to to less senior team members
- Facilitate design reviews and decision-making processes
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business teams
Driving App Experience
- Own and drive UX/UI for the app
- Define, build, and evolve complex app user flows, interactions, and interfaces
- Ensure high usability, consistency, and quality across the full app
Product UX & Design System
- Lead UX/UI initiatives across multiple products
- Lead the full UX process from research to high-fidelity execution
- Maintain and evolve a scalable design system in close collaboration with engineering
Supporting Website, Marketing & Conversion
- Support UX and design efforts for website and landing pages
- Apply CRO principles selectively to improve relevant user journeys
- Design with performance, clarity, and measurable outcomes in mind
Quality & Craft
- Ensure all design work is delivered to the highest quality standards
- Continuously improve products based on user feedback and insights
- Stay up to date with relevant design trends and tools.
Job Anforderungen
Experience & Expertise
- Several years of experience beyond Senior UX / Product Designer level
- Strong foundation in UX concepts such as user flows, information architecture, and prototyping
- Proven experience designing and scaling web and app products, including design systems
- Experience working independently with high ownership and responsibility
- First hands-on experience in a team leadership role within a design organization
Portfolio
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, hands-on execution, and problem-solving
Tools & Ways of working:
- Strong proficiency in Figma (required)
- Experience working closely with development teams and design operations
- Familiarity with agile product development
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and decision-making ability
- High level of ownership, accountability, and independence
Nice to Have
- Basic German language skills
- Experience in regulated industries such as finance, insurance, or banking
